The security guard approached me and asked, "May I help you? Why are you taking pictures of the chairs?" I was ready to give him a lecture about citizens' rights to photograph in public places but decided to tell him about my photo projects. I showed him the monitor, telling him I was hoping to capture something artistic. He took a long look and snidely proclaimed, "That's no art!"
Yesterday was Friday the thirteenth.
It was not a good day!

Great story. Not sure what's so threatening about taking photos of chairs anyway. I have to disagree with the officer's artistic sense as well. I think the lines created by the chairs and table are terrific. It's full of fun movement. Like the sun flare as well, which emphasizes a sense of movement created by the lines in the chairs. Hope your next post won't be from Guantanamo Bay!
